Having our experience and background in Teesside, our new Academy is bursting with excitement to discover new dance stars in York. Our philosophy is to teach you all we know and who knows, even showcase your talent on the Competition circuit, learning Solos, Troupes, Song and Dance, Musical Theatre, Duets and Trios amongst more.

Gemma began her Dance Training at the Amanda Mcglynn school of Dance at the very young age of just 2 and a half.
Expressing her passion and talent she moved on to the prestigious and renowned Val Armstrong Dance Academy in Hartlepool where she spent a large portion of her Dance childhood learning the art in all its forms.
Completing her training at The Craggs school of Dance, another well-established North East Dance school, Gemma began to perform in many shows particularly at the prestigious Forum Theatre where she regularly performed in Christmas Pantomimes and was also accredited with a role in The Nutcracker alongside the English Youth Ballet.
Learning and mastering most genres of Dance including Ballet, Tap, Acro, Contemporary Modern, Musical Theatre amongst more, Gemma quickly became known on the Northern circuit including at Cabaret and Championship level winning multiple accolades for her passion and delivery in Dance, As well as existing Qualifications, Gemma regularly studies multiple genres of dance with the NCDTA and Exam opportunities are available to all students.
Now a mum herself, Gemma has orchestrated and aided the development of her own children, most notably her eldest daughter who regularly competes in competitions and championships and is a regular amongst the elite in supreme finals within the North of England.
At 35, Gemma’s real passion is passing on her knowledge and talent to youngsters, teaching inexperienced and experienced dancers to have the confidence to shine.
Regardless of ability, Gemma’s patience and philosophy is for her students to be the best that they can be. She regularly enters her students into competitions to experience circuit life and is a big believer in giving everybody the same opportunities.
