Our Teaching Team

Miss Gemma (Principle)

Gemma began her Dance Training at the Amanda Mcglynn school of Dance at the very young age of just 2 and a half.

Expressing her passion and talent she moved on to the prestigious and renowned Val Armstrong Dance Academy in Hartlepool where she spent a large portion of her Dance childhood learning the art in all its forms.

Completing her training at The Craggs school of Dance, another well-established North East Dance school, Gemma began to perform in many shows particularly at the prestigious Forum Theatre where she regularly performed in Christmas Pantomimes and was also accredited with a role in The Nutcracker alongside the English Youth Ballet.

Learning and mastering most genres of Dance including Ballet, Tap, Acro, Contemporary Modern, Musical Theatre amongst more, Gemma quickly became known on the Northern circuit including at Cabaret and Championship level winning multiple accolades for

her passion and delivery in Dance.

As well as existing Qualifications, Gemma regularly studies multiple genres of dance with the NCDTA and Exam

opportunities are available to all students.

Now a mum herself, Gemma has orchestrated and aided the development of her own children, most notably her eldest

daughter who regularly competes in competitions and championships and is a regular amongst the elite in supreme finals

within the North of England.

At 36, Gemma’s real passion is passing on her knowledge and talent to youngsters, teaching inexperienced and

experienced dancers to have the confidence to shine.

Regardless of ability, Gemma’s patience and philosophy is for her students to be the best that they can be.

She regularly enters her students into competitions to experience circuit life and is a big believer in giving everybody t

he same opportunities.
